Rashad Morgan to Lead NCBA Minorities in the Profession Committee

Rashad L. Morgan, a shareholder and patent attorney at intellectual property law firm Brinks Gilson & Lione, was recently appointed to serve as co-chair of the Minorities in
the Profession (MIP) Committee of the North Carolina Bar Association (NCBA).

The MIP Committee is dedicated to providing ongoing education, promoting the betterment of life, and increasing the presence of minorities in the legal profession. It seeks to educate the public about the contributions of North Carolina’s minority lawyers and about issues of concern to minority lawyers. In his role as co-chair, Morgan will oversee the Preparing to Practice and the Promoting the Practice sub-committees, which offer programs and events for minority law students and practitioners aimed at increasing diversity in the profession.

Morgan, a chemical engineer, has a broad intellectual property practice that includes opinion work, due diligence review, and patent litigation, with a particular focus on patent prosecution.
