Bradley Partner J. Douglas Minor Jr. Elected As Mississippi Bar Foundation Fellow

Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP is pleased to announce that J. Douglas Minor Jr., a partner who works in the firm’s Nashville, Tenn., and Jackson, Miss., offices, has been elected as a Fellow of the Mississippi Bar Foundation.

“We congratulate Doug on his election as a Fellow of the Mississippi Bar Foundation. This recognizes Doug’s achievements, successes and leadership in his practice that has spanned more than two decades in the Southeast,” said Bradley Jackson office managing partner Margaret Oertling Cupples.

Only 10 percent of Mississippi lawyers are eligible for membership as Mississippi Bar Foundation Fellows. Their selection represents recognition by their peers that the attorneys have achieved the highest level of professionalism, competence and leadership.

A member of Bradley’s litigation practice group, Minor practices in a wide variety of areas, including product liability, environmental contamination, class actions, antitrust, consumer fraud and investment fraud actions. His litigation practice includes the defense of insurance and mortgage companies facing breach of contract and tort actions across the country. Additionally, he has assisted lenders and mortgage servicers with regulatory compliance matters.

Minor is a past chair of the litigation sSection of the Mississippi Bar and is a certified instructor for the National Institute of Trial Advocacy. He also serves on the American Bar Association’s Standing Committee on the Federal Judiciary. He is a frequent lecturer in the areas of conflicts of interest, juror bias, and the impact of social media on the jury system. Minor earned his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and his A.B. from Harvard University.
