G&K Shareholder Named Chairman of Streetlight USA

The law firm of Gallagher & Kennedy announced that Shareholder Robert Erven Brown was elected to serve as chairman of the board of directors of Streetlight USA, a nonprofit organization dedicated to transitioning adolescent girls from trauma to triumph by providing timely, accessible crisis intervention, stabilization and housing.
Brown has been involved with Streetlight USA since its inception in 2009, preparing its initial incorporation documents and assisting with other activities related to its formation. Since then he has served intermittently as a director and as pro bono legal counsel. In his role as chairman, Brown will support the foundation’s mission by helping it meet its financial goals and working with board members to expand its reach.
In addition to his service on the Streetlight USA board, Brown has served as a trustee, director, and legal advisor to numerous charitable organizations. He is an adjunct professor at The Phoenix Seminary and is a member of The Alliance Defending Freedom Honor Corps, helping to defend our first amendment rights to freedom of religion. He served as a director and/or pro bono legal advisor to the boards of directors of Phoenix Seminary, Christian Education Legacy Fund, Scottsdale Christian Academy and the Arizona Private Education Scholarship Fund.

Brown focuses his law practice in real estate, commercial transactions and charitable organizations. He has represented clients in commercial and real estate transactions and ongoing business transactions, with particular expertise in church and para-church ministries and in medical real estate transactions.
