Blank Rome LLP Grows Labor & Employment Practice

Blank Rome LLP is pleased to announce that Caroline Powell Donelan and Jenna B. Berman have joined the Firm as associates in the Labor & Employment practice group. Ms. Donelan is based in the Firm’s Los Angeles office and Ms. Berman is based in the Philadelphia office.

Ms. Donelan comes to Blank Rome from DLA Piper, where she was a labor and employment associate. She counsels and defends domestic and foreign corporations in all areas of employment law compliance, including wage and hour class and collective actions, wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, trade secret disputes/data protection, and alleged fiduciary breaches. Ms. Donelan’s proactive risk management practice includes drafting workplace policies, conducting supervisor training and workplace investigations, and providing day-to-day counseling on a wide variety of employment issues.

Ms. Donelan sits on the advisory board of A Vision of Health, a nonprofit providing mobile mammography and comprehensive women’s health education to underserved communities throughout Los Angeles County.  She is also the co-founder of MAMAs LA (“Mother Attorneys Mentoring Association”), a family-friendly networking and support organization focused on the distinct issues women face while toggling the dual role of mother and attorney, including work-life balance, diversity and inclusion in the workplace, and women’s advancement. Admitted to practice in California and North Carolina, Ms. Donelan received her J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law, and her B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Ms. Berman comes to Blank Rome from Wisler Pearlstine LLP, where she was an associate in the labor/employment and education groups.  She counsels clients on employment policies and day-to-day issues as well as employee discipline. She has represented academic institutions in a variety of matters, including discrimination litigation, student enrollment, discipline, and special education.

Ms. Berman has volunteered with organizations committed to helping inner-city youth, including the Support Center for Child Advocates; the Juvenile Victim and Witness Services Unit of Philadelphia’s DA’s Office; and the Katie at the Bat Team, where she served as a board member. Admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, Ms. Berman received her J.D. from Villanova University School of Law, cum laude, and her B.S. from the University of Maryland.
