Shutts & Bowen Rounds Out Jacksonville Office With Commercial Litigator Jeff York

Jeff York, commercial litigation attorney, has joined the Jacksonville office of Shutts & Bowen as a Partner.

While York’s practice has encompassed a wide variety of issues over his 20-year career, much of his commercial litigation work has involved banking/financial services litigation, real property litigation, franchise litigation, and class actions.

Prior to transitioning to Shutts & Bowen, York practiced with the Alabama-based law firm Balch & Bingham for nearly four years. He has practiced in Florida for more than 20 years, having previously spent time at the law firm of McGuireWoods. It was there that York initially worked with Tim Gillis, who now leads Shutts & Bowen’s Jacksonville office as Managing Partner. As a member of the Business Litigation group, York will complement Gillis’ transaction-focused practice.

The transition was facilitated by GRN Winfield, an executive search firm specializing in placing attorneys in Florida.
