Christopher Compton Joins Winstead’s Public Finance Practice Group

Chris Compton has joined Winstead’s Public Finance Practice Group as Of Counsel in the Dallas office. He represents local governments and developers in the fields of traditional public finance, private activity bonds, project finance, economic development and incentives.
Chris advises on matters relating to high profile, complex projects and transactions, representing billions of dollars in public and private investment, and his public finance experience includes general obligation bonds, special district bonds sales tax revenue bonds, and private activity bonds (small issue industrial development bonds for manufacturing facilities and recovery zone facility bonds). Chris also advises clients the areas of credits and incentives, state and local taxation and intergovernmental undertakings.

Chris received his J.D. in 1996 from University of Alabama Law School and his LL.M. in 1997 from New York University School of Law. He most recently practiced with Seyfarth Shaw in Atlanta, Georgia.
