Judge Clark recognized  Siebman and Roger D. Sanders of Sanders, Motley, Young & Gallardo in Sherman for their extensive, behind-the-scenes roles in the Eastern District of Texas. Both have worked tirelessly to identify and recruit qualified judges to fill empty federal benches locally, including serving on the selection committee for Eastern District magistrate judges.

During the ceremony, Chief Judge Clark announced that both attorneys’ portraits will now hang in the attorney conference rooms at the Paul Brown Federal Courthouse in Sherman. Also in attendance were U.S. District Judge Amos L. Mazzant III, U.S. Magistrate Judge Christine A. Nowak and other distinguished guests.

“It is an honor to work before the esteemed judges in the Eastern District, and it starts at the top with Chief Judge Ron Clark,” says Siebman. “I’ve practiced in courtrooms in many federal districts and can honestly say that the Eastern District is home to some of the best federal judges in the country.”

A former law clerk to the late Eastern District Judge Paul Brown, Siebman is the founding member of the Eastern District of Texas Bar Association, serving an unprecedented four terms as president. He also has served on the Eastern District’s Local Rules Advisory Committee, Non-Appropriated Fund Committee, and U.S. Magistrate Judge Merit Selection Committee.
